Artist Statement

Combining my love for music and design into one, this project takes the form of lyric videos. In the past I’ve focused my design work on music posters. With this project, I’m expanding my repertoire by utilizing motion design to help better capture a feeling by having type and imagery interact on screen. Music Appreciation is a body of work that features various artists' songs and my interpretation of their music through motion design. Music moves people in different ways and by using type, abstract shape, and multitude of color palettes, my goal is to accomplish a similar feeling. This project was a way of giving back to both the music community and design community.
