Bio

I’m a graphic designer, audio designer, animator and musician. I focus on bold and material dense visuals. I’m inspired by design trends of the 90s and 00s, and especially by early internet culture. As I head towards graduation, I look forward to developing a design career within the music industry.

Artist Statement

PXRCELAIN is an EP serving as the foundation for the visual design of my personal music career, as well as an exercise in graphic design for CD packaging. I am graphic designer, but also an audio designer, musician, and artist. With all of my interests being deeply interwoven I have fused them all into a single project. I’m heavily inspired by breakcore artists such as Goreshit and Venetian Snares, and the visual aesthetics of the early 00s and internet culture. Like a music producer may use samples to turn pre existing audio into new soundscapes, I use a wide collection of imagery within my design work. Usually through collecting scans of my own drawings, magazines, and other found media, I create dense and grungy digital collages with deep textures. PXRCELAIN contains a mix of ambient and breakcore tracks that make use of wide, dreamy, lush synth pads, and fast and spastic drum breaks. My music is my outlet and this EP focuses on just one of the genres and styles of music production that I find fascinating. With time I will explore a much wider range of sounds and styles, but for now. I aim to find a place within a small community online and to further hone my design skills for use in the music industry.

Coincidence

This Zine was a risograph print that described my outlook on coincidence, and following instinct.

Matchbook

This project was an exercise to create a prop matchbook that would fit as a prop piece within the movie; LA LA LAND.

Free Our Minds

These posters were created to create the visual identity of a movement advocating for more accessible mental healthcare.

"Existential" Stickers

These stickers were created to visualize feelings related to the wider concept of existence. And were displayed alongside other student concepts within the art gallery in 2019.
