Bio

Artist, graphic designer,and animator. Studied in animation in Savannah school of art and design and currently finishing my bachelor in graphic design in St. Edwards university. Inspirations are comic books, video games and anime.

Artist Statement

For my project, I created and designed an original comic book zine with a concentration on artwork telling a story through images with minimal dialogue—a story that is easy to read, as well as follow along for any reader of any age.“Stories of Elsewhere” is a collection of short stories, it starts with a story named “ The Champion ”. I used professional wrestling for my first story. Wrestling is a story told in the ring by two people, one bad ( heel) and one good (baby face)engaging in battle back and forth through body language. Using the Procreate app on the ipad and photo references I was able to illustrate a style by sketching and organizing each panel. Afterwards I prepared each panel for the Riso printer which allowed me to simplify my work and produce multiple copies. Moving forward my overall goal is to make more stories to complete an anthology of short comics all together. I hope to continue to learn and adapt other art styles and methods along the way.
