Artist Statement

The Magic Within Club is an events-based organization providing services to college students for a shift inward from busy college lives. I noticed that students were stressed, anxious and overwhelmed with their work lives, and I wanted to share the breathwork techniques and confidence skills I’d learned through life coaching. The overall goal of this project is to help other students discover themselves, build confidence, de-stress, and connect with others.

The club meets for different social events— a hike in the hill country, meditation sessions, movement practice, or a yoga event downtown. These provide college students with a break from their day-to-day grind, and shift focus to the present moment, to their friends near them, and to the good things in life.
